By February 1, 2022, Salesforce (SFDC) is requiring all of their customers to enable MFA for all of their internal users when they use SFDC products. Good security requires MFA for all of your users when they use any cloud-based or on-prem app – otherwise you are exposed.

When a system is breached, threat actors move laterally across apps and users until the threat actors can move up to access the most sensitive resources. MFA applied to all of your apps and all of your users effectively closes all of your access gaps, guarding access to your entire system instead of leaving some doors open to intruders.
